Identify the type of benefit
| Offer description | What to find |
|---|---|
| Registration or welcome benefit | Whether it is credit, a coupon bundle or another benefit, and who can claim it. |
| Product/order offer | The eligible purchase, option, account and payment stage. |
| Shipping promotion | The parcel, route and eligible freight amount. |
| Coupon bundle | Individual values, thresholds and expiry rather than the summed headline. |

Compare usable value rather than the bundle total
A bundle can contain several benefits for different spends or dates. Work out which ones fit the purchases you intend to make. Count the benefits that fit your payment stages, thresholds and dates, and check which ones can be combined.
Example: plan an 80-unit goods payment and a later 60-unit shipping payment in the same currency. Compare these hypothetical benefit terms; in this example, the goods benefits do not combine:
| Benefit | Qualification | Usable in this plan? |
|---|---|---|
| 10 off goods | Goods spend at least 100 | No: the goods payment is 80. |
| 5 off freight | Freight spend at least 50, but expiry before the planned shipping payment | No: the spend fits, the timing does not. |
| 3 off goods | Goods spend at least 70, valid at purchase | Yes: this payment fits the stated conditions. |
The nominal total is 18, but this plan can use 3 under those terms, bringing goods payment from 80 to 77. Adding 20 of goods to unlock the 10 benefit gives 100 − 10 = 90, which is 13 more than 77. Compare the purchase you want, not a bigger basket built around the headline.
The threshold and expiry guide covers account/route conditions and combinations in more detail.
Find the point where it applies
Claiming or redeeming a code may add a benefit to an account before a later checkout applies it. Look for both stages and the resulting payment breakdown. After claiming, check the eligible checkout to see whether the benefit is applied and how much it saves.
If the code is rejected or the benefit is not offered at payment, use coupon troubleshooting to identify the stage that failed.
Keep the offer inside the full comparison
An offer is useful when it reduces the eligible cost of the purchase or parcel you want. Compare the whole budget and, for shipping, the same parcel arrangement before making it the deciding factor. Choose the product, fit and shipping line you want, then count the promotion that applies.
