Start inside the sheet
If tapping the cell does nothing, open or expand it using the viewer's link controls. The visible text may be a label while the address sits inside a hyperlink or formula. On a phone, the link can be hidden behind the cell menu or obscured by an image.
Try the same row in a full browser view if the embedded viewer is the problem. Mobile sheet guidance covers hidden tabs and image-heavy cells. Keep the row name with you so you can return to the correct entry.
Identify the failure point
| What happens | Next useful distinction |
|---|---|
| Cell opens no address | Viewer/link-control problem; inspect the cell rather than changing the product. |
| Shortcut fails before any product appears | Wrapper or shortened-link problem; look for the source information preserved in the row. |
| A store opens instead of an item | Store link or changed product route; distinguish it from the desired product detail page. |
| Item opens but an option is missing | Availability/version question, not a failed click. |
A converter changes how a link opens. It does not restore an item that the seller removed. The link-identity guide explains which part belongs to the source and which part belongs to the agent route.
Use the details the row still gives you
If the original page cannot be reached, take the recognisable product type, visible markings and option name into a search. Better search words help with a shortened title; image/name/URL inputs help you choose the available search method.
A lookalike result should be assessed as a new candidate until its source and selected option can be matched. Keep old sizing or QC observations attached to their original entry rather than silently carrying them onto the new result.
Report a broken guide link
For a link within this website, use Guide Help and include the page and label that failed. For a spreadsheet creator's cell, use the contact or correction route supplied with that sheet. These are different places to ask for a fix.
